Stay on Vasanta Vihar Campus
Vasanta Vihar, headquarters of the Krishnamurti Foundation India, exists for the sole purpose of enabling people to stay here to study Krishnamurti’s Teachings by using the library (The Study) for reading, watching videos, or taking part in serious dialogues with those on the campus.
Guests cannot use this place for engaging in other activities such as official/personal work, sight-seeing & shopping, yoga & meditation classes, lectures & seminars, music concerts & cultural events, family & social get-togethers. This is not a resort, but a place for retreat.
Your presence on the campus, and punctuality for all meals, are expected. Guests can leave the campus only in the evening between 4:30 and 7:00 pm for personal work.
Mobile phones and other devices should not be used in The Study, Retreat venues, Dining Hall, and other common areas. You may use them only in your room for essential work such as booking tickets or taxis.
Accommodation is given here only for enabling guests to study Krishnamurti’s teachings, and this purpose cannot be served if your stay is very brief. Hence our regulation that guests stay here for at least three nights and not use the place as a transit point for other destinations.
Dress modestly. Clothes such as shorts, mini-skirts or any revealing clothing outside your room are considered inappropriate.
Non-vegetarian food, cigarettes, and alcohol are not permitted.
Safeguard your passport, money and other valuables, and lock your room during your absence.
Switch off lights, fans, and water heaters when not using them.
Single/Double non-AC rooms with attached bath are provided.
You are requested to bring your own towel and soap.
Per night cost: Rs. 750 (inclusive of taxes) per head. This includes accommodation and food. Payment can be made on arrival.
Check-in & Check-out Time: Our main gate is closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. So if you are reaching by a late-night flight, kindly stay at the airport and check in here only after 5 a.m.
Similarly, those who are leaving by late-night flight have to check-out by 10pm.

Getting Here: Pre-paid taxis/Autorickshaws are available at the airport and railway stations.
Ask for Greenways Road (not Greams Road). Vasanta Vihar is located opposite the residences of State Ministers and High Court judges.
